Can she trust him with her secrets or will he flee for London and out of her life forever?I'm a huge fan of Lucas' In His Arms series so when I grabbed this in a sale, I couldn't wait to read it. This one has dark themes with a few surprises I didn't see coming. I liked that Lucas didn't shy away from such things as domestic violence and death. It gave Mistletoe Waltz an air of realism against the backdrop of a historical romance. Superb plot, sweeping romance and characters I kept rooting for. Highly recommend!

This story is so wonderful, a happily ever after for two people who are perfect for each other once they give their love a chance to grow. I highly recommend this book.
I really enjoyed Faith and Marcus' story, and the window into the historical time period was lovely. There are some heart-wrenching bits, but the end totally made up for it. I really enjoyed the fact that we weren't beaten over the head with the troubles in the H/h backgrounds, but that it all unfolded in due time. Excellent story for historical romance lovers.
Good character development. It helps victims of abuse of any kind to have a suggested pathway to a loving positive future. This book shows some of the damage done by abuse and probably indicates how pervasive the need for control of closest family seems to increase and multiply generation by generation.
I liked that Marcus found what love was all about. I felt a little rushed in the culmination of the trilogy. His whole story set up in book two was raced to a culmination in one chapter. He found his long lost mother, settled their complex story, saved his wive and mother from death, left his badly injured mother to the ministrations of others and rushed off to find his happily ever-after with his initially unwanted wife in mere pages. I give it a 4 star rating that could have been 5 with a bit more work.
This story captured my interest immediately and I didn't look up again until I was finished at 100 a.m.! The flow and editing of this novella is very smooth. The twists and turns were great, the characters were likable, quickly redeeming themselves from any preconceived notions that I had in the beginning. They were willing to learn and change, which is a nice shift from many of the romances that I have read. I am so glad that I found a sweet Christmas romance inside of this beautiful cover.
Marcus is forced to marry Faith when they are caught in a compromising situation when he tries to rescue her from being assaulted. Marcus is certain Faith's father set the whole thing up and strongly suspects that Faith is an accomplice in her father's scheme, but he has no choice, so they marry. Marcus has a quick temper and a bitter heart. Faith was abused in the past, so she fears Marcus because of his temper and obvious dislike of her. The story is very interesting. It's sweet to see compassion and love develop between the two main characters. There are a few typos, but not enough to distract from the story. Honestly, I was so involved in the story that I only remember seeing three typos. There are several twists in the story. The characters and the story are well developed.
